Introduction
The activities in the manual were influenced by Culturally Adapted Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CA-CBT)1 and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT)2. These are evidence-based methods to be implemented
for use with survivors of trauma. The methods used in this journal emphasise emotion regulation and relaxation techniques such as meditation and yoga-like stretching, which aim to promote emotional and psychological flexibility. Keep in mind that this counselling is not a cure, and should not be the only form of treatment for an individual experiencing signs of trauma, depression, or anxiety.
